The mission of Beautiful Feet Ministries is to share the love of Christ by reaching out to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the poor and homeless in Fort Worth, Texas.
In the early 1980’s, a group of students from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary shared coffee, donuts, and the Gospel with some homeless men and women sleeping in the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
Among these students were Mike Myers and Johnny Buckner (the founders of Beautiful Feet Ministries). These outdoor services, sometimes consisting of hundreds of homeless, continued until 1985. Soon the homeless were brought to local churches for services.
It was quickly realized that the homeless needed a church of their own and the beginning of Beautiful Feet Ministries.
