The James Bruner TK Ranch was started in 1984 through the vision of one couple and the need of another couple to provide lifetime Christian personal care for their special needs sons, step-brothers, Terry (T) and Keith (K). Since that time two men’s dormitories have been built and one women’s on approximately 70 acres in rural Montague County, Texas near Sunset and Bowie. From the beginning, our purpose and function has been to provide the permanent, family environment and Christian love and care for those men and women whose families, for a variety of reasons, can no longer do so. The ranch has been a wonderful place to live for many years and we feel confident it will be for many more years to come.

TK Ranch provides daily supervision, nutritious meals, medication supervision, on-site activities, transportation to and from off site activities and appointments, caring staff, and a Christian family environment.
Our residents are active members of the local community. Each dorm delivers Meals on Wheels weekly. We participate in the Adopt A Highway program and are also involved in a local church.
We are licensed by the Dept. of Aging and Disability Services as an Assisted Living Facility. As such we have specific criteria that must be met for admission. According to our licensing standards all residents must be 18 years or older, ambulatory and not a danger to themselves or others. Our residents range in age and disability.
